WOW. Ok I admit it,
I am a blush addict, ESPECIALLY NYC and NARS blushes. This has got to
be one of my favorite blushes of all time. It's a gorgeous slightly
cool toned mauve color with quite a bit of shimmer. I layer it on
lightly during the day for a noticeable, yet healthy glow, and I put
more on for a really beautiful night look. For less than $2, what do
you have to lose? Seriously, I'd compare it to my NARS blushes in
quality and flat out prettiness.
Pros:BEAUTIFUL color, lots of pigment, dirt cheap Cons:None really. The packaging could be cuter, I guess.
CLAIMS TO;For natural-looking, soft matte color. Naturally oil absorbing ingredients help control shine without clogging pores -- perfect for all skin types. Packing;
Tacky, clear case. Comes with brush. The packing is not appealing, but it's not going to break on you.
What's it's like using this product;
This is a pink peach shade. Not as pink as Riverside Rose. The brush is small and cheap, but I use it. I suggest using a longer one if you can. This is easy to blend and apply. If i ever apply to much, I take a cottonball and sweep it across my cheeks. It shows as a soft rosy shade, which my cheeks would normally be lacking in the winter.
Staying Power;
Some of it wears off during the day, but not all.
I'll admit that I'm somewhat of a brand snob... I can't help but to think that something that is super cheap would be of bad quality. I had heard raves on this blush on iCompact's messageboards, and so I snagged this at Walgreens the other day. The packaging is just ugly and cheap looking, but don't let that fool you about what's inside! The blush brush it comes with it useless, but that's to be expected. The color is beautiful, a warm pinky berry w/golden shimmer. I find it in the same vein as NARS Crazed, with more red in it. They are comparable though, as the flush both give me are similar. I applied Darling Donner with my Sonia Kashuk Blush Brush this morning, and I was amazed how it just lit up my face. I'm wearing minimal eye makeup as I feel it's best with such a strong cheek. You have to use a light hand as this blush is highly pigmented. I'm glad I took a chance on something so cheap! It's turned out to be a real jem! (Oh, in case anyone is interested, this is a LE item. The good things always are!) I'm a neutral toned Aromaleigh 2W w/hazel eyes and medium brown hair.
Pros:beautiful color, cheap, highly pigmented, perfect "in from the cold" flush Cons:ugly packaging, may be hard to find
This is a nice cheap effective highlighter, there are two shades, a bronze shade and a silvery pinkish beige shade. Both have a creamy gel like texture and the look they produce are more of a glow than obvious shimmer. Very pretty and verstaile. The lil tube also lasts forever, even with daily use.
NYC's Lip and Cheek Stain comes in a lil tube and only in one shade, but it packs a ton of product into that tiny tube and the shade seems to be universal...a reddish berry shade. The formula is a creamy texture gel formula and the color is very sheer. In fact some people may require some layering for a desired effect. However, for 2 bucks or less this stuff lasts all day on cheeks and does a decent job of staining lips as well. I really love. I had bought back of these but ended up swapping them away after I realized how long one tube lasted.
